Favourite pilates exercise: Rocking and Roll over

Back story: I was introduced to pilates upon reading a health magazine in 2014. The same year I was diagnosed with medium-to-severe scoliosis. As a student, the S-shaped spine curvature was giving me a hard time to be active in campus. My movement was restricted and the pain was quite unbearable. I took pilates class twice a week as a private client for nine months, and ever since have witnessed the impact it has to my strength and posture. I no longer need to carry painkiller with me, and was able to participate in other physical activities such as running and hiking. One-hour session of pilates is what I look forward to after a long day sitting at work. It’s the time when I can fully be present in my body and mind. The flowing of energy and sense of achievement I get afterwards are what made me keep coming back to the studio or to the mat.

In 2017, I was trained with BASI faculty pilates instructor who did not only introduced me to BASI pilates method but also encouraged me to take the teacher training course. As a certified instructor, I look forward to meeting and sharing my love and knowledge of pilates to clients.
I am passionate to help them transform their bodies, one Pilates session at a time.

Hobby outside of pilates: I enjoy reading fictions, singing karaoke, playing with my cats, and walking in nature.
