Aalaya Pilates Club Classes
Discover our range of Pilates classes where you’ll get individual attention in a fun group setting with other people who are on the same journey.
This class is designed for those new to Pilates and/or the Pilates equipment. You will learn how to set-up and break-down equipment, personalize reformer settings, focus on breathing, body-awareness and other principles that constitute the Pilates repertoire. You will learn the Fundamental BASI Pilates Classic Repertoire. Alternatively, you may opt to take the 3 introductory private classes.
CLASSIC FLOW - Level 1
This class consists of a group of Fundamental BASI Pilates Classic repertoire (this doesn’t necessarily mean EASY!). It’s a great place to start if you are new to pilates, coming back from an injury, or want to refine your technique. Before advancing to the next level, we recommend a minimum of 10 level 1 classes; however everyone progresses at different rates. Be sure to check with your level 1 instructor.
CLASSIC FLOW - Level 2
This is a faster paced and for the more experienced ones. You will continue to work on the fundamentals BASI Pilates Classic Repertoire but introduced to the intermediate repertoire.
CLASSIC FLOW Level 3
For the very experienced Pilates students or Athletes! This class builds on the CLASSIC FLOW 1 & 2, challenging you will learn advanced and master level BASI Pilates Classic Repertoire. Transitions will be faster and a deeper focus of mind and body connection is required. A minimum of one year of pilates training and Level 2 instructor approval is required to join this level.
ABS, ASS & ATTITUDE - LEVEL 1/2
This fun class is designed to stretch and strengthen the buttocks, abdomen, lower back and thighs. Preparing your for that perfect summer strout!
GIVE ME THAT SEXY BACK - LEVEL 2
Our athletic reformer class strengthens and tones the arms, back and abdominal. By marrying the classic repertoire and contemporary experience, this class will define your core, chisel your arms and give you a sexy back.
MEN’s PILATES - LEVEL 1/ 2
This Pilates class offers improved sport performance, decreased joint pain, and increased mobility, stability, strength, balance, and muscle control. Men in general have tight muscles in the shoulders, back, pelvis & legs, resulting in weaker core muscles and shallow breathing patterns. This will be your go to class for all your conditioning needs (Women are also welcome in this class).
Our Pilates for pregnancy classes provide pregnant mums safe Pilates exercise during pregnancy.These classes are aimed for second trimester and up clients. We add infinite modifications to suit our client’s individual needs. Our instructors are certified in Pilates pre and post natal. Take breaks when needed and keep your exertion levels manageable, but you will still get a great workout while you’re pregnant. If you are clear by your doctor to do Pilates for pregnancy, this is your class. Pilates for pregnancy will help you maintain and improve core strength in order to reduce lower back pain while pregnant, maintain pelvic floor strength and to help you reduce down time after delivery.
MAT CLASSES - Level 1 & 2
At BASI Pilates we regard Pilates Mat Work as the ‘crown jewel’ of Pilates. You will learn the BASI Pilates Classical mat flow repertoire.
