Mira Hassan believes that the practice of Pilates can lead to a body to mind, strengthening transformation that will change the life of those who seriously embrace it. Formerly a professional dancer, graduated with BA Dance from VCA, University of Melbourne, Mira has more than 10 years of international pilates teaching experience. She is APMA certified (Australia), Pilates International certified (Australia) and BASI certified (USA). Over the years, she has taught at various top studios in Melbourne, London, and Amsterdam. Prior to relocating to Jakarta, Mira owned and ran her successful studio in Amsterdam, The Movement Practice. The Movement Practice was one of the busiest and most successful studios in Amsterdam with a team of 6 teachers. Mira continues her pilates education, and that of her teachers, to bring the best pilates has to offer to her studio. She has also completed BASI Mentor Program with Rael Isacowitz in Munich and plans to complete BASI Master Program at end 2016 in US.

In early 2015, she sold The Movement Practice to relocate to Jakarta, Indonesia where she continues to empower her new clientele to strengthen their body and minds. In 2016 Mira founded Aalaya Pilates in Jakarta.

“ My clients can use what they learn from pilates & incorporate the principles into their daily tasks, whether it is cleaning dishes or sitting at desk. “

When she is not teaching and practising her passion - pilates, Mira also runs, does yoga and sweats at CrossFit

Merina Liu

After completing her Bachelor of Business (Honours) at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne (Australia), Merina had worked on administering projects in corporate environments. At the same time, she became very involved in physical exercises, in dancing and snowboarding particularly.

Somehow, over the years, that combination of activities have caused various injuries in her body which led her to try Pilates. Seeing the beauty of that method in conditioning and strengthening prompted her to deepen her knowledge and practice by training formally at Pilates International Training Centre (PITC), Melbourne where she received a Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction.

She has been teaching in Melbourne for a year before moving back to Jakarta in October 2016 and joining Aalaya Pilates Teaching team.

Grace Angreiny

Grace started as Pilates practitioner since 2013, and excited by what the world of Pilates could provide her. She enrolled in Pilates Matwork Teacher Training at BodyTree Academy BTA (Fletcher Pilates) in Singapore in 2015. In 2017, she is fully certified teacher.

Like any office job, prolonged sitting is required which caused her fatigue and low back pain. Poor office ergonomic and reduced physical training in her working life exacerbated these muscles imbalance and led to daily aches and pain. She believes that the best way to attain optimal health is by having a healthy spine and posture. Now she is determined to help executives become pain-free, just as Pilates has helped her.

She has the passion to share the benefit of Pilates with others as she already felt the great of doing Pilates regularly. She also finds a great joy when seeing their clients' bodies enhance through Pilates.
